The New Liberals in the Church

Pastor Wilken talks about two recent definitions of liberalism and conservatism that he ran across. Not in the issue by issue sense, but the in assumptions they hold. Pastor Wilken discusses the liberal notion that the past is guilty until proven innocent. In his comment on how this relates to the church (at about 15:59), he says, “What came before is dismissed…We hear things like, ‘This isn’t your grandfather’s church.’” Now where have I hear that?

Vocation

This is Pastor Wilken’s monologue on vocation. How we find God’s will for our daily life in the Cross of Jesus Christ. In addition to the audio program, I’ve included Pastor Wilken’s article on vocation entitled “Locus and Focus: God’s Will for Your Daily Life.”

Note: The audio quality is a little off on this episode. I think it has to do with it being pre-recorded.
